Set you up for success
Nutrition is hard! Even harder than hitting the gym. It’s so easy to start a diet and just a few days later the bad habits takes over. You want to eat healthy but it’s impossible to stay away from the bad foods. There is a way to set you up for succeeding! Here is my tips to make those bad habits disappear for good.
Make bad foods the hard choice and good foods the easy choice
When you are hungry and your only healthy choice at home is a uncooked chicken in the fridge… and the cupboard is full with unhealthy snacks, then you’ll make the bad foods the easy choice. You need to clear out the house of all unhealthy foods! Make them hard to get to! If you have a craving at 10pm and there is nothing in the house but healthy alternative, you will have a better chance of succeeding.
Stay away from the middle aisle in the supermarket
Make sure to say away form all processed foods. They are bad for you! Buy veggies, fruit, meat, egg, berries and nuts. Don’t bring junk home! And don’t shop when you are hungry!

Food prep
Food prepping will get you a long way! Make big batches of meals, and store them for easy access when you get hungry. If you don’t like cooking or perhaps you just don’t have time, there is easy choices. Buy pre-chopped veggies and a already grilled chicken and there is your meal, all ready to go!
Get your family and friends onboard
It’s hard to do it on your own and have the willpower to stay away from bad foods when your family is binging out on that family pizza right infront of you. Make your family part of your healthy eating! Everyone will benefit from a good diet! Make your work colleagues part of your challenge. It’s simply easier when you are not alone.
Reward yourself
Reward yourself and celebrate BUT not with food! We are often using bad food as a reward and this is a step backwards. Reward yourself in a different way. Get a spa treatment, buy a new pair of shoes, go fishing. Rewards are important but they need to be inline with your goals. Binging out on bad foods is going to set you back.
Go for a walk
It might seem silly but trust me, it actually works! When you have one of those big cravings, go out for a walk. It will get your barin thinking about something else than snacking.
Hydrate
We are not always hungry when wanting to snack, sometimes the body might be dehydrated. Make sure you drink plenty of water and also some evening herb tea in the evening will do you good.
