Tips to stop snacking
Most of us have been there, when you are trying to cut calories but the brain just wants to snack! Especially in the evening in front of the television. Most of the time it’s not hunger but pure boredom or bad habits that makes us want to snack and eat more than we need.
I will give you some of my best tricks to keep that snacking “tick in your brain” under control.
- Drink a big cup of tea
I’m not joking! Pick a nice flavor and take the biggest cup you have. That will actually take away some of the cravings. - Go for a walk
Sometimes you just need to get your mind of something else than what’s in the fridge. - Clean out your cupboard
Don’t keep snacks in the house. You can’t eat what’s not there! - Brush your teeth and go to bed
Works like a charm every time! - Snack on something healthy
If you feel that you really have to have something then choose a healthy alternative, like a bowl of fresh, crispy beans or perhaps some strawberries. You can also make a nice low calorie protein smoothie or a diet mud cake.
Here is my healthy mud cake ONLY 165 cal:
1 egg white
1/2 dl cocunut milk light
35g vegan protein powder
1 tsp cacao powder.
Stir ingredients and put in microwave with plastic on top for 1min. Serve with blueberry and sugar free syrup.
